Hawaii 2024 — three generations on the leeward coast.
Twelve days on Oʻahu in January 2024 — the first trip on the vacation club points I'd bought a year earlier, the first trip since starting at Edge Autonomy, and my grandfather's first time on the islands. Pearl Harbor, Pali Lookout, Lanikai, Diamond Head, and a poolside bar that quietly turned out to be the best part.
Hawaii 2023 — invited along, came back with an ownership and a resume.
Twelve days in Ko Olina in January 2023 on a family invite — first-class on Hawaiian Airlines, a Pearl Harbor morning, the temples on the windward side, a sales pitch I bought into, a Mai Tai I still chase, and a resume I penciled at the gate that became my next job.
